New Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate Competitor Hits the Market
Tata Motors has been crafting SUVs with a bold, adventurous edge for a while now. The brand’s “Dark Edition” variants for many of its cars take their design up a notch, and the latest update to the Tata Curvv SUV with a fresh Dark Edition is no exception. Safe to say, this version cranks up the sporty SUV’s style! Let’s dive into what’s new with the Curvv’s Dark Edition makeover.
Dark & Bold Design Tweaks
Tata is absolutely nailing its “Dark Edition” trims, and the Curvv now gets a sleek blacked-out treatment. Even the Curvv EV mirrors the ICE (petrol/diesel) models with similar design upgrades for its Dark Edition. For the EV, this trim is only available in the Empowered + A variant.
The Curvv Dark Edition features fully blacked-out elements, including the front and rear bumpers, wheel-arch cladding, grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, you’ll find black leather upholstery, a blacked-out centre console, headlining, and all chrome bits replaced with dark accents. This edition is offered only in the Acomplished and Acomplished+ trims, priced between ₹19.37 lakh to ₹23.32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Feature-Packed Cabin
The Curvv is loaded with premium features like a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, an electric driver’s seat, reclining rear seats, and more. Tech highlights include a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. It also packs ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) like auto emergency braking, collision warnings, rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain Options
The Dark Edition Curvv comes with two engine choices and a single battery pack for the EV:
- 1.2L Turbo Petrol: Produces 123 BHP and 225 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
- 1.5L Diesel: Generates 116 BHP and 260 Nm torque, available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
- Curvv EV: Gets a 55 kWh battery with a single electric motor (165 BHP, 215 Nm torque) and a claimed 502 km range.
Tata’s Curvv Dark Edition redefines daring with its stunning blacked-out look, 18-inch alloy wheels, black grille and bumpers, and sophisticated interiors that replace chrome with dark accents. High-end features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and ADAS safety features like adaptive cruise control and collision alerts are combined with athletic appearance. There are models for gasoline, diesel, and electric vehicles. The EV version is amazing, with a 502 km range and a 55 kWh battery. Priced between ₹19.37 and ₹23.32 lakh (Mumbai), this feature-rich SUV is perfect for thrill-seekers who appreciate performance, style, and state-of-the-art technology.
