On Wednesday morning, voting for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections got underway. While the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is making a serious effort to make a comeback, the BJP-led Maha-Yuti alliance wants to hold onto power. Beginning at 7 AM and ending at 6 PM, voting will be conducted for all 288 seats. November 23 is when the votes will be counted. Here’s how to use the voter slip to cast your ballot.
What is the voter slip?
The Election Commission issues the Voter Information Slip (VIS) prior to the election. Voters are given crucial information, such as their name, age, gender, and constituency, in addition to the location, room number, date, and time of the polling station. A QR code is also included on the slip for easy verification.
